Rosemary Robins

A Potter’s Field is a series of photographs of graves of people who have died alone and have been buried by strangers. As a mnemonic archive and memorial the work encourages the viewer to remember people who, in life and death, have been marginalised and forgotten.

The work reflects my interest in recording traces of human lives that might otherwise go unnoticed and to reveal aspects of society that are less visible, vulnerable and marginal.
