You pull up outside your room for the night, you’ve been travelling since sunrise and now the sky is dark - your day a hazy memory of scenery flying by in fast forward. You get your baggage out of the boot and open the motel door. You’ve never been here before, yet everything seems so familiar…
The world unfolds before me like a film. My eyes are the camera capturing light, my brain is the celluloid storing memory after memory (frame by frame) and any expression I extend outwards into the world is rendered into a universal cinematic work. A reality forever in motion is reflected back to me, continually becoming.
I ask - how do we experience the world when the body is permanently in transit and the present is constantly evolving into the past and the future at the same time?
