Isaac Lizardo

My practice is multidisciplinary drawing on materiality, repetition, and intuition to make site-specific installations that incorporate, print-making, video, paintings and sculptures. The work explores themes of ritual and superstition in visual languages.

I am interested in symbols emblematic of luck and fortune, particularly in relation to class systems. Exploring shifts in the meaning of things and how we structure our understanding, the work considers the tension between what exists within the object or image and what is projected onto it.
