Arthur Dimitriou

Arthur Dimitriou’s practice investigates readymade objects that have lapsed into obsolescence due to their primary function being deemed non-valuable in today’s hyper-capitalist society. Dimitriou reimagines these discarded objects by transposing them into new material forms, utilizing a diverse range of casting techniques, imbuing the objects with a renewed presence. This renewed presence is found in the objects secondary function which is present in the new material composition of the said object.
