Alex Dillon

Ephemeral Painting extends from my practice of collecting screengrabs from artist studio documentaries, which I then translate into paintings on small wooden blocks whilst listening to creators describe their methods. The durational series explores the visible, bodily & spoken traces left behind in the process of making. This approach reflects my curiosity with contemporary studio practice & the cyclical nature of ideas & expression.
